SAA has provided support for numerous research studies in independent public and private research centers. Each study focused on genetics, nutrition or system trials that provide for a more robust domestic aquaculture industry and greater inclusion rates for soybeans in aquaculture diets. Research investments and selection of research recipients are determined by the board of directors each year. A request for proposal process is implemented to encourage researchers to submit study outlines that meet the SAA mission.
